The French House evolved from small beginnings in 1995, when Stephen Hazell bought a 17th century townhouse in the Pyrenees complete with all its original furniture, some of which was surplus to requirements and was sold to friends and family back in the UK
By 1997 our first shop was opened on Micklegate in York and has since enjoyed great success. A visit to the showroom is part of the York experience for many visitors who travel from all over the UK and overseas
